One small step for improv
On July 16, 1969, three people launched into space with no script. We're doing something similar but with twice as many people!
Apollo 11 lifted off on that date in 1969. Three astronauts, no idea exactly what would happen when they got to the moon, committed to the bit anyway. It worked out pretty well.
Fifty-seven years later, Bent Theatre (led by Brian Johns) is marking the occasion the only way we know how: showing up at Patch Brewing in Gordonsville on Thursday, July 16, at 7 pmand launching into a completely unscripted improv comedy show built entirely from whatever the audience hands us. We can't promise a moon landing. We can promise liftoff. And we GUARANTEE that no one will think this was faked.
Patch is really worth the drive if you don’t live in Orange County. It's 25 minutes from Charlottesville, 14 acres, a baseball field, a blackberry patch you can pick yourself, and beer. Come out early and make an evening of it. You won’t be disappointed
